The Douglas County Sheriff's Department is investigating the deaths of a woman and her teenage son.  Their bodies were found inside a town home near 156th and Blondo Wednesday morning. 

A family friend hadn't heard from anyone in the house for several days and found mail piling up at the house.

Douglas County Sheriff's investigators say the bodies of the 54 year old woman and 18 year old son were found inside the home around 10:00 a.m.

Deputy Chief Tom Wheeler says the public is not in any danger and that they have ruled out a double homicide.  However, authorities say the deaths are not accidental.  The causes of death are not being released pending autopsy results.

A neighbor says the woman had medical issues and recently lost her father to Alzheimers.  He says her son was recently became an Eagle Scout.
