Bond was set Wednesday at $300,000 for the driver of a car investigators say struck and killed an Omaha doctor on Sunday near 38th and Dodge.
31-year-old Pedro Diego-Antonio is acussed of driving drunk when his car struck Dr. Edward Horowitz as he crossed the street Sunday afternoon.
Witnesses said the impact sent the 63-year-old Horowitz, a Creighton University School of Medicine, into a U-Haul truck, shattering the windshield.
The car kept going but was located a short time later at 40th and Harney. Prosecutors say Diego-Antonio's blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.
