The City of Omaha says a snow emergency will go into effect at midnight and will continue until noon on Thursday. Parking will not be permitted on snow routes and odd-even parking restrictions will be in place in neighborhoods east of 72nd Street.
City officials say vehicles should be parked on the side of the street with odd addresses by midnight tonight and move to the even side on Thursday.
The City says those in violation of the parking restrictions could receive a ticket. The City won't issue tickets between 6 p.m. and midnight. Contractors will begin working in residential neighborhoods at 8:00 Tuesday night.
