State Senator Charlie Janssen says he's dropping out of the 2014 governor's race.

The Republican from Fremont says he decided he couldn't win in such a crowded GOP primary field, saying ``I didn't see a clear path to victory.''

He entered the race almost a year ago. Five are now vying for the GOP nod, including Omaha businessman Pete Ricketts and State Auditor Mike Foley. Attorney General Jon Bruning said Thursday that he's considering a last-minute run as well.

The filing deadline for the GOP primary is February 18th.
