Judge Rejects No Contest Plea From Nikko Jenkins

On Tuesday morning Jenkins appeared before Judge Peter Bataillon and requested to change his plea to No Contest.  Jenkins is accused of killing four people in Omaha last August and is representing himself.

On Tuesday afternoon Battalion rejected a the plea because it's a death penatly case.  The judge said he would only accept a guilty plea.  Jenkins trial has been set for July 28.

In a hearing Tuesday morning, Jenkins had said he wanted to change his plea to No Contest.

Several months ago Jenkins filed paperworkto plead guilty and then later asked for the charges to be dismissed.
