No decision was reached Wednesday in the competency hearing of Nikko Jenkins.

Psychiatrists for the defense and the state took the stand during the three hour hearing.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine said Judge Peter Batallion could announce a ruling as soon as Thursday.

Early on, Jenkins said he wanted to plead guilty to the four August 2013 murders to avoid a trial for the sake of the victims’ families, but recently told the judge he wants the charges dismissed.
