Tornado Distribution Centers Over Capacity

Tornado Distribution Centers Over Capacity

It has been two weeks since tornadoes devastated parts of northeast Nebraska.  There has been no shortage of people wanting to donate items to help tornado victims.

But organizers at the distribution centers in Wisner, Stanton and Wakefield say they have exceeded warehouse capacity and respectfully ask that no additional donations be made, until additional specific needs are identified.

Organizers remind all victims from any of the communities and rural areas of the northeast Nebraska counties hit by the June 16 tornadoes to visit the distribution centers if they have unmet needs.

Victims who are staying with family or friends can still get items at the distribution centers.  The centers have a wide variety of items including  food, personal hygiene, clothing and laudry supplies
