National Parks Service announces free days for 2022

National Parks Service announces free days for 2022: The United States is filled with over 400 great national parks and this year there will be five chances for folks to visit them for free. To encourage Americans to discover our National Parks, the National Park Service (NPS) has revealed that they are waiving the entrance fees at all parks on the following days:

  • Monday, January 17 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • Saturday, April 16 – First Day of National Park Week
  • Thursday, August 4 – Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
  • Saturday, September 24 – National Public Lands Day
  • Friday, November 11 – Veterans Day
