Splitting your Uber fare just got easier. That's because Uber has announced a partnership with Venmo that integrated the popular payment system into the Uber app. The arrangement sidesteps the current in-app split-ride fee. The step basically takes away the step of opening another app. Venmo is even giving Uber and Uber Eats their own custom icons in the app — the first companies to receive branded emoji in the payment platform. The new collaboration even gives people the option to pay for the company's ride-sharing and food delivery service with their Venmo balances. Look for the Venmo updates on your Uber app in the coming weeks, as it's rolled out to all Uber users.
