Any parent will tell you that raising a family isn’t easy, and where you live could play a role in just how hard or easy it is. Well, a new report reveals the best cities to raise a family, and if you’re interested in the best, you need to brace yourself for some cold winters.
Zumper, a site for finding apartment and house rentals, looked at 10 factors to decide which cities are best for raising a family, including percentage of income spent on rent or mortgage, median household income, current unemployment rate, infant-care costs, percentage of the population under 45, high-school dropout rate, and more.
In the end, they chose Madison, Wisconsin as the best city in the U.S. to raise a family mainly because of its young adult population, strong economy and low rates of crime and high school dropouts.
