Did you know that hanging your bananas doesn't actually slow down the ripening process? Sure they look nice hanging there...but the best way to help them stick around a bit longer before they get nasty is to take a piece of plastic wrap and wrap it tight around the stems. Use a rubber-band to secure the plastic wrap.
