Being an organ donor is a beautiful thing. However, it's understandably, a very bittersweet thing as well. It's never easy to lose someone you love, but knowing that if they couldn't be here, they could save someone else I imagine is the most heartwarming feeling.
Last year, a little boy in Illinois lost his life when he drowned, but his organs were donated. One of the recipients was a newborn named Lola, who received his heart. The two families met and shared a beautiful moment together.
