While Apple fans tend to jump at every new product the company offers, their latest offering has folks online shaking their heads.
Earlier this week the company started selling a “Polishing Cloth” online for a whopping $19. “Made with soft, nonabrasive material,” the item description reads, “the Polishing Cloth cleans any Apple display, including nano-texture glass, safely and effectively.” Basically, it’s a white piece of cloth, and while similar microfiber products can be found online for $1, this one is “special” because it comes emblazoned with the Apple logo.
As you can imagine, folks on social media are having a field day over this ridiculously pricey product.
- “I hate that I want the Apple microfiber cloth just because it’s made by Apple. Dammit,” one person wrote.
- Another added, “Remember when Steve Jobs would introduce new Apple products and say “One more thing…” and that one more thing was something awesome? Those days are long gone. Now we get a polishing cloth.”
- Finally, another commented, “Just wait for the filtered canned air for better cooling result for only $59.99!”
