- The US Postal Service is working hard to handle your holiday cards and gifts - as long as you "get those packages and good wishes to the post office on time."
- Sending gifts or cards to someone with an Air, Army, Fleet or Diplomatic address using First-Class or Priority Mail? Get it out by this Thursday, December 9th.
- The Postal Service says if you want to make sure someone gets the gift or card you're mailing by December 25th, you better have it mailed out by December 15th if you're using retail ground service.
- Using First-Class mail to send out holiday goodies? Get it mailed out by December 17th. You have until December 18th if you're using Priority Mail.
- Most of these deadlines are for the continental US only. If you have any questions, stop by USPS.com.
- Oh, and expect to pay more to send packages and cards out this year; increases range from one quarter to five dollars per package.
