Hyundai, Kia Recall Vehicles Due to Fire Risk

Hyundai and Kia have issued a recall on around 485,000 vehicles in the US due to an antilock brake module’s electrical short, warning drivers to park outside due to a fire risk!

The recalled vehicles include:

  • 2014 through 2016 Kia Sportage SUVs
  • 2016 through 2018 K900 sedans
  • 2016 through 2018 Santa Fe SUVs,
  • 2017 and 2018 Santa Fe Sports,
  • 2019 Santa Fe XLs
  • 2014 through 2015 Tucson SUVs.

Eleven fire vehicles have been reported in the US.

Dealers are more than happy to replace your vehicle’s fuse. Hyundai will also inspect the control modules and replace them if needed.
