One travel expert told 'BestLife' "If you want a weekend escape in the U.S. but don't want to feel like you're still in the U.S., then I really recommend going to Key West in the Florida Keys. It's as close to the Caribbean as you can be without actually being in the Caribbean—and comes with all the luxuries."
