Kelly Clarkson regularly performs other people's songs on "The Kelly Clarkson Show." Last week, she took a swing at the Jelly Roll/Lainey Wilson song "Save Me." While fans loved her emotional version, one fan who really loved it was none other than Jelly Roll himself. Jelly was so impressed he Tweeted out about it - and also commented under the video on the show's official YouTube page.
"I would’ve never believed you if you would’ve told me that I’d write a song so impactful that incredible Kelly Clarkson would deem it worthy to cover . Thank you Kelly- wow - I’m honored in a way I can’t even describe - I cried watching it," he said on X. He also commented directly under the video on YouTube, saying "This may be the most honored I’ve ever felt. I love Kelly and her voice and soul and what she stands for so much. I’m honored she covered my song - I cried listening the first time."
