Fans have been puzzled about the new single from Randy Travis, "Where That Came From," since, for all intents and purposes, Randy has been unable to sing much more than a bit of "Amazing Grace" after his massive stroke in 2013. Not only did the country icon lose his language functions, he only had a slight chance of survival.
Here we are, 11 years later and not only did Randy survive, he is releasing new music, thanks to his longtime producer, Kyle Lehning, talented singer James DuPre and A-I (Artificial Intelligence). In an interview with CBS News, Kyle, James and Randy's label president, Cris Lacy, explained how they were able to utilize tracks from Randy's deep catalog of unreleased music and lay them over James' voice to create "Where That Came From," with a little help from A-I.
The next step, trying to figure out how to make that magic again.
