Jelly Roll’s life story is wild! 😲 He recently shared some amazing tales with Howard Stern. 🎙️
In jail, Jelly would write music by beating on his steel bed bunk. 🛏️🥁 “It had a hollow sound, so you could keep time and hum melodies over that loop,” he said. 🎶
The hardest part? Forgetting the melodies. 😔 “I came home with a bunch of songs but couldn’t remember the melodies, though I had great lyrics.” ✍️
Despite the challenges, Jelly knew he was destined for greatness. 🌟 On his last day in jail, he told his fellow inmates, “Next time I see you, I’ll be at Madison Square Garden.” 🏟️
He was last in jail in 2008, and he’ll be headlining Madison Square Garden on September 27th this year! 🎉📅
