Remember the legal battle we mentioned in April? The one where Philly’s beloved wedding band “Jellyroll” took on country star Jelly Roll over the rights to their shared name? Well, the dust has finally settled!
In an official statement, Kurt Titchenell, the owner of Jellyroll Band, announced that the popular Philadelphia wedding and event band has successfully settled its intellectual property dispute with country artist Jelly Roll (aka Jason Bradley DeFord). Titchenell shared, “The dispute with Jelly Roll has been resolved, and the legal action has been withdrawn. We’re excited to continue rocking out as Jellyroll Band! 🎸”
While the finer details remain under wraps, it looks like both parties get to keep their names. So, whether you’re a fan of the wedding band or the country star, you can continue to enjoy their music without any confusion! 🎶
Jelly Roll will be playing at the CHI Health Center in Omaha on 11/12/24. Click here to buy your tickets.
