Is quitting contagious? Turns out, it just might be. A new study found that if your work friends start looking for new opportunities, you just might join them. This is particularly true if these co-workers started when you did. And the closer you are with your co-workers, the more likely you are to follow their lead out the door.
The one thing that can stop this “turnover contagion”? Location, location, location. Seems when companies allow employees to work in their preferred geographical location, they are less influenced by what their peers are doing.
