๐Ÿ’ A Wedding, A Hospital, and A Dadโ€™s Final Wish Come True

When Grace Benway and Thomas Decourcey started planning their wedding, they pictured Colorado skies and mountain views. But life had other plansโ€”and they didnโ€™t hesitate to pivot.

Graceโ€™s dad, Dan, has been battling pancreatic cancer for two years. Now in Stage 4, traveling to the wedding wasnโ€™t an option. So Grace and Thomas did something beautiful: they brought the wedding to him.

With just 24 hours to pull it off, the couple said โ€œI doโ€ at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Nurses helped make it happen, and the hospital turned into a wedding venue overnight.

Dan rolled down the aisle in a wheelchair wearing a sharp gray suit, red tie, and sunglasses. He held Graceโ€™s hand, hugged her tight, and beamed with pride. โ€œHeโ€™s been fighting so much,โ€ Grace said. โ€œHeโ€™s incredible.โ€

Dan was all smiles, calling Thomas โ€œa great manโ€ and saying he couldnโ€™t ask for anyone better for his daughter. The whole moment was raw, real, and unforgettable.

Sometimes love means changing everythingโ€”just to make sure the people who matter most are there.
