A soldier at a Virginia Military Base has been arrested after he stole an armored personnel carrier from Fort Pickett. He then lead police on a chase for more than 60 miles down two highways to Richmond. he eventually stopped the tank like vehicle but not before many bystanders caught it on video.
Dozens of police vehicles, armed officers and a helicopter spent two hours pursuing the vehicle. It was almost like a large high speed parade with all the lights and sirens. Authorities have not identified the man, but he is believed to be a Virginia Army National Guard Lieutenant from Fort Pickett. He will for sure be facing court marshal, as well as, many civilian charges for the incident.
It was pretty entertaining to watch, to say the least. Thankfully no one was hurt and the vehicle was not armed with any weaponry.
