Woman Returns Family Photos Found At Goodwill

When Kristie Baeumert bought a $15 vintage slide projector at Georgia Goodwill, she got a mystery with it. Inside was a family’s set of old slides, images of smiling young girls and a lovely woman dressed up. She wanted to find the family they belonged to so she could return their memories, but didn’t know where to start.

Thankfully, her story made its way to CBS News and within minutes of it being shared last week, a viewer contacted Kristie and helped her connect with the family in the slides. Theda Robertson, now 88, and her daughters Deborah and Treva hadn’t seen the images in more than 20 years, but met Kristie in person to get them back.

"She purchased a projector and then found our life's treasures inside," Treva says. "You did not give up, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
