This beverage Is Selling Out Because Of Netflix

Have you heard of “Yakult?” If it seems like that word is everywhere lately, that’s because of the Netflix movie, “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.” Yakult is a probiotic smoothie drink created in Japan back in the 1930s, but it’s having a moment thanks to a scene in the movie where a character takes a swig of the beverage and says “Oh, wow, that is really good!”

The movie is a hit and since it came out last month, Yakult has been flying off grocery store shelves, even though it’s never mentioned by name in the rom-com. Amazon even sold out of it! It’s packed with 6.5-billion probiotics in each 2.7-ounce bottle, so it can boost your immune system, and they say it tastes pretty good, too.
