Guy Proposes To Trauma Nurse Who Saved His Life

Damien LeRoy, 37, was severely injured in 2016 when he was forced to bail from his paragliding apparatus, landing 150 feet below. The accident in Florida broke his back, pelvis, and several ribs.

LeRoy was lucky to have survived at all. He was rushed to St. Mary's Medical Center, where nurse Alexandra Hoover was on the trauma team that treated him. "I just saw her eyes right away and I was like, man," LeRoy told reporters. "She cared so much."

Alexandra actually had a boyfriend at the time. However, things didn't work out. A year later she was dating LeRoy, and now they're engaged!
