The Girl Scouts Have A New Cookie Flavor

The Girl Scouts of the USA just kicked off their countdown to cookie season, and in addition to all of your favorite cookies, like Thin Mints, or my personal favorite - the Peanut Butter Sandwiches and more, folks can look forward to a brand new addition – the Toast-Yay! The new cookie, available in select areas, is a French Toast-inspired cookie, shaped like mini toast slices and dipped in vanilla icing.

"The name is designed to be a play on words for 'toasty,' which evokes the warmth and joy we believe people will associate with this great new French Toast-inspired flavor," a rep for the Girl Scouts tells People.

Cookie season usually kicks off in January, and thanks to the COVID crisis, many Scouts will likely be selling cookies virtually this year through the national online platform Girl Scouts Cookie Care, which allows customers to order cookies for home delivery. They’ll also sell through “virtual cookie booths” on social media, with many offering socially distant or contactless sales and delivery options. Customers even have a gift box option so they can ship cookies directly to loved ones.
