We’re constantly hearing stories about brides who treat their bridesmaids badly. Well, now one bridesmaid is taking legal action over it.
A woman shares on Reddit’s forum that she was recently kicked out of a wedding party over her hair, and has now decided to sue the bride over it. The woman explains that chunks of her hair started falling out due to health issues, and two weeks before she was supposed to be a bridesmaid she informed the bride she decided to cut her hair. At first the bride said nothing, but eventually voiced her concern, and then things took a turn.
Although the OP assured the bride her hair would look good, the bride sent her a note insisting she wouldn’t allow the OP to “disrespect” her. She wrote that she and her fiance had spent a lot of money on video and photos and they “want to see our vision reflected in those memories.” She then came down on the OP for only telling her a week before the wedding about the hair cut, adding that the OP’s “inconsistencies have concerned me,” and then said because her short hair would “compromise my vision” told her she needed to “step down from participating” in the wedding.
As you can imagine the OP was furious, especially since up until then she had spent time planning the girl’s wedding shower, helping her with the wedding and more. Not to mention the fact that she spent over $7,00 on three different dresses, shoes etc. So, the OP decided to send the couple an invoice for all the money she spent on their big day, and when neither of them got back to her she “decided to take it to court.”
- And while the reaction may sound a bit extreme, when she asked folks on the Internet if she was wrong, most people were totally down with it, blasting the bride for her actions.
- One person told the OP she “should have had the lawsuit served to her at the altar.”
- “I just can’t get past that her hair was falling out because of a health condition and Zilla is like, Don’t care if you die, you are selfish for cutting your hair,” another added. “What in the actual duck!”
- Finally another noted, “I probably would have just not cut my hair and shown up with bald clumps. Ducking asshole bridezilla would have had a meltdown.”
