Instacart has revealed its results for its Great Halloween Candy Debate and America's most sold candy, by weight, is Peanut M&Ms. As for the top ten candies sold in the US, they are:
- #2 Regular M&Ms
- #3 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
- #4 Hershey's Milk Chocolate
- #5 Twizzlers
- #6 Snickers
- #7 Kit Kat
- #8 Candy Corn
- #9 Sour Patch Kids
- #10 Haribo Gold Bears
Even though Candy Corn placed eighth on the list, Instagram found that one in four Americans say it's the worst Halloween candy ever.
3 in 4 Americans celebrate Halloween; more than half say candy is more important to them than costumes.
Instacart customers bought 2.5 million pounds of candy in the weeks leading up to October 31st last year!
