Blake Shelton said heâs still embarrassed by a photo of himself that his wife, Gwen Stefani, recently shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Shelton joined host Jimmy Kimmel on the late night talk show on Wednesday night (November 20), and addressed the photo of him on a bike when the family took a trip to Rome, Italy. Shelton said itâs âone of those pictures, you know sometimes you see a picture of yourself andâŠat first, itâs alarming,â he said. â(But) you see it like a year later and itâs like, âman, it wasnât so bad,â you know? That one is worse every time I see it. âŠI just look stupid.â
Kimmel laughed as he pointed out that Shelton isnât âdoing anything embarrassingâŠyet somehow it is (embarrassing).â He suggested that the country starâs glasses and helmet that heâs wearing in the photo âtake it over the top.â
Stefani shared the photo when she appeared on the show on September 30. She said at that time that the family took a trip to Rome because Shelton had never visited Europe, even while touring. Stefani reacted to the photo: âLook how cute my husband is⊠You could tell, he has the energy of like, âmy wife told me to do this.ââ Shelton and Stefani met on the set of The Voice in 2014. They started dating the following year, got engaged in 2020, and married in July 2021 in Oklahoma. Shelton said in an Entertainment Tonight interview, âif I could have a repeat of these past 10 years [together, that] would be perfect.â
