Rescue And Service Dogs Honored For Service

Gavel, the police dog, was raised to fight bad guys. Unfortunately, he was recently fired. It seems Gavel is too nice and playful to adequately do his job.

The police said Gavel "did not display the necessary aptitude for a life on the front line."

There is a happy ending, though.

Gavel landed a new job as a greeter at Queensland's Government House.
