IT IS TIME TO START PLANNING THAT GARDEN

Garden

My daughter is considering a table at the Farmer's Market this year. She is not sure what to sell. She loves gardening, knitting and creating various other crafts. We'll see what she comes up with.

If you want a great garden this summer, you need to begin planning now.

According to Urban Farmer, the last frost in Kat Country should be around May 12th. If you want to start your seeds inside, you should get those in dirt sometime between April 1st and the 15th, depending on the vegetable.

Broccoli needs to be started early. Squash and cucumbers can go in later.

You might actually be able to get a second planting if you plan right. Carrots, lettuce and spinach have a shorter growing cycle.
