An ice shove (also called an ice tsunami) on Lake Erie has created a wall of ice 40 feet high in spots. It has caused evacuations around Buffalo, NY and Ontario.
The video of the ice creeping towards buildings is ominous. Watch as the chunks of ice come over the top of the wall.
Residents have been told they can expect local fire personnel to come door to door accounting for residents.
