One California woman has helped her sister realize her dream of becoming a mom after a battle with cancer. Maggie Paxton is now mom to twin daughters Emery and Deeanna, thanks to her sister, Morgan Williams, who acted as a surrogate for her and delivered the baby girls last week.
Maggie had been trying to become pregnant when she was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago. As a result of her treatment, she learned she couldn’t have children of her own, but that’s when older sister Morgan offered to be the surrogate and carry the babies for her. She’s already mom to a nine-year-old daughter, and she didn’t hesitate helping her sister become one too.
“Out of something that’s so terrifying and so scary, there’s something so beautiful and miraculous that’s come out of it,” Williams says. “Now they have two beautiful girls, and the fun begins."
