Soldier surprises mom at her graduation

50 year old Margaret Pearson, of North Mankato, Minnesota, got to fulfill her lifelong dream of graduating from nursing school 25 years after she started. Due to being a working mom Margaret had to drop out of nursing school 25 years ago, but thanks to encouragement from her son, Dustin, she went back. The graduation was going to be bitter sweet though because Dustin wasn’t going to be able to make it. Dustin, an Army Sgt., spent the past year deployed in Iraq and Kuwait was still in Fort Bliss Texas, where he returned after his deployment. He told his Mom he wouldn’t make it home until after her graduation, but little did she know he was planning on coming home early to surprise her on her special day. (ABC)
