The Silver family had their 13-year-old Labrador retriever, Sophie, out with them when they were plowing and shoveling snow near their Porter, Maine home when the dog wandered off. After searching all over for the old gal, Sophie was nowhere to be found.
So Albert Silver put out a Facebook post for help locating her and asked people to share it. And that they did, the post was shared over two thousand times. Friends, loved ones, and even strangers were looking for Sophie, but as the cold nights went on, the Silvers were losing hope.
Then, five long days and nights after her disappearance, Sophie was spotted in a snowbank, barely visible with just her head poking out. After some plowing, they got her out and she was fine. A check at the vet revealed Sophie lost five pounds but didn’t even have frostbite or injuries after her long, freezing adventure. Now that’s a happy ending!
