A candy company in Mexico broke a world record for the largest marshmallow ever made . . . about five feet tall and over 1,400 POUNDS. For context, that's like one-and-a-half grand pianos.
The official weight was just under 1,430 pounds . . . or roughly 130,000 times bigger than a normal marshmallow. It took a team of 100 people two hours to pour the mixture into a mold. Then they had to wait another 48 hours for it to set.
It happened back in April as part of a big 200th-anniversary celebration in Jalisco, Mexico. But Guinness just posted the footage.
The old record was a 205-pound marshmallow made in the U.K. in 2019. So this one was seven times bigger than that.
Don't worry, and it didn't go to waste. They cut it up after the weigh-in and handed out the pieces for free.
