The Artemis 1 spacecraft -- being flown without astronauts -- finally blasted off into space earlier this week. Pictures of the launch are remarkable -- and so are the pictures Artemis 1 is already sending back.
The 25-day mission has just begun -- and NASA scientists have already gotten a view of Earth that hasn't been seen since 1972, during the final Apollo mission. That's 50 years ago.
As a reminder, this Artemis 1 mission involves the spacecraft flying past and then around the moon -- and back. Stay tuned because there will certainly be more pictures taken and more lessons learned from this historic trip.
