She may be a famous actress, but Kate Hudson has been surrounded by music all her life: from being the daughter of the Hudson Brothers' singer Bill Hudson, to starring in one of the greatest rock n' roll films ever ("Almost Famous"), to romances with famous rock stars (Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, whom she married, and Matt Bellamy of Muse, most notably). So she knows what goes into a career in music. Talent is important, of course.
Not only is Kate talented on screen, but we're finding out she's equally skilled on stage fronting a band. Over the weekend she played a gig in Aspen, Colorado, where she showed off her vocal ability - and if she wants a career in music, it wouldn't be hard, because the lady has skills.
Not only did she show she can do country, slaying Chris Stapleton's "White Horse," but she also did versions of Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U" and "Dance The Night" by Dua Lipa, among others. She crossed multiple genres and handled them all equally well; if she ever gets tired of working on a soundstage, singing center stage is definitely an option.
