Now that we know which teams are going to be in the Super Bowl, it’s time to get ready for the big party. And it seems the party is more important than the game for lots of people. A new survey found that 40% look forward to attending or hosting a party, but they barely spend any time in front of the TV. In fact, 17% of those surveyed said they’ll watch 20 minutes or less of the actual game. The survey found that average viewing time is only 29 minutes of game play, and 9% admit they wouldn’t even know who was playing before they turned the game on. The half-time show (55%), commercials (45%) and the drinks (40%) were all more popular with those surveyed than what was happening on the field (38%). 30% admit they spend more time in front of the snacks and food than in front of the television.
