Have you heard of hurkle-durkling? It’s not really a new trend – it’s actually from an old Scottish term meaning “to lie in bed or lounge about when one should be up and about.” In other words – it’s lying in bed when you should be getting up to go to work, or lying on the couch when there are things you should be doing. It’s basically letting yourself be lazy. Apparently, the phrase’s newfound popularity comes from a TikTok clip posted by actor Kira Kosarin that’s been viewed nearly 4 million times.
