- It's Girl Scout cookies season, and one mom wants buyers to be careful about what they say in front of young girls selling cookies.
- This San Diego, California mom, Nicole Romanella O'Neal, shared advice on Instagram asking people to avoid talk of diets and calories when approaching Girl Scouts. Nicole wants people to be aware of what they say in front of impressionable Girl Scouts for fear of affecting their body image.
- In her post, she specifically pointed out things not to do when buying cookies, which included:
- Mentioning your diet
- Talking about calories
- Pointing out your body flaws
- Narrating out loud why you aren't buying the cookies because "you'll eat the whole box"
- Asking which cookies are the healthiest
- “A simple NO THANK YOU goes a long way for our girls,” O'Neal wrote.
