Sometimes country music runs through multiple generations. Hank Williams and Hank Williams Jr., Mel and Pam Tillis, George and Lorrie Morgan, Linda Davis and daughter Hillary Scott of Lady A are just a few examples. And then there's Rhett Akins and his son. No, not Thomas Rhett; the other son.
This week Akins was playing the Grand Ole Opry when he brought his singing son on stage with him. Not the superstar Thomas Rhett, but Akins' four-year-old son Brody James. And musical talent must really run in that family, because Brody handled the spotlight like a pro.
While a proud dad stood behind him, young Brody belted out "Jesus Loves Me" and the crowd, of course, went wild. Seems like another talented Akins will be making musical waves in the not too distant future.
