To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first episode of “Friends,” a new exhibit is coming to Las Vegas. Like the popular traveling attraction, which is now a permanent fixture in New York, “The Friends Experience,” dubbed "The One in Vegas," will feature sets recreated from the iconic TV show, including Monica’s apartment, Central Perk coffeehouse, and Chandler and Joey’s place, where visitors can sit in their recliners. They can also reenact Ross and Rachel’s wedding scene at the Vegas wedding chapel.
Stacy Moscatelli, CEO of Original X Productions, says that Sin City is the perfect place to host an experience like this because of the location’s popularity among “Friends” fans and its significance in the series. The experience offers a behind-the-scenes look into the show's production, featuring actual props and costumes from the series.
The new all-ages attraction will open later this year at the MGM Grand, a venue with a rich Hollywood history. Fans will get a chance to connect with the show in an immersive and interactive way, personally experiencing their favorite parts of “Friends” with their own friends.
