Storm Damage Clean up
CITYWIDE CURBSIDE DEBRIS COLLECTION (Updated August 5)
Curbside collection of tree debris will begin Thursday August 8 to allow more time for residents to get storm debris to the curb.
Tree limbs do not have to be cut or bundled.
Debris should be placed as close to the curb as possible
We will use heavy equipment including skid loaders and dump trucks to complete this cleanup.
Paper yard waste bags can be filled with tree debris only and will be collected during the curbside collection in your neighborhood.
If you prefer faster collection of yard waste bags, you can purchase the FCC pre-paid stickers, attach the stickers to the yard waste bags, and FCC will pick-up on your regular collection day. For information about the FCC sticker program, please use this link: https://www.wasteline.org/yard-waste-information/yardwaste-sticker-locations/
Please do not set out debris in other containers of any kind.
The City of Omaha Public Works Street Maintenance Division has five districts. Each district will pickup tree debris within their own districts aily from 7:00am - 7:00m. For a map showing the district boundaries and the status of the curbside cleanup, Click Here. This map will update as the curbside program begins Thursday.
Food waste can be placed in your 96-gallon trash cart only for collection on your regular FCC collection day.
We estimate it could take the rest of the month to complete.
