The NFL season has kicked off and when fans get to go see their favorite team play, they can expect to be paying a lot at the concession stand. A new report looks at how much a beer and a hot dog cost at football games across the country and it’s not cheap.
Sportscasting.com compared the prices for the combo at all 32 NFL stadiums this season and found the average cost for one beer and one hot dog is $15.02.
- The most expensive beers are $12 each and are found at Caesars Superdome, home of the New Orleans Saints and at Levi’s Stadium, where the San Francisco 49ers play.
- The priciest hot dogs are those from Lumen Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks, and SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers, where they charge $8.49 for a hot dog.
- Lumen Field is the most expensive stadium for the beer and hot dog combo at $19.98.
- SoFi Stadium comes in second at $19.49, followed by the Chicago Bears’ home, Soldier Field, which charges $19 for a brew and a dog.
- The cheapest combo can be found at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Falcons, where it’s only $7.49, thanks to their $2 hot dogs.
- The only other stadium that offers the combo for less than $10 is Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, where it’s $9.98.
- Houston’s NRG Stadium is the next most affordable, it’s $11.75 for a hot dog and a beer there.
- You can get a beer for just $5.49 at four NFL venues this season - Atlanta, Detroit, Miami and the New York Jets’ MetLife Stadium.
