Less is more … Well, here’s a switch. Instead of TikTok videos trying to convince you to buy something, there’s a new trend where Gen Zers are showing off what they DON’T buy. They’re calling it “underconsumption core,” and it celebrates having less and being more financially responsible. It celebrates things like having an older, paid-off car, making coffee at home, having fewer clothes and a minimal makeup routine, and enjoying low-cost activities like camping and hiking. Some have even posted videos of themselves taking inventory of all their unnecessary “stuff,” decluttering, and donating what they don't need.
