Researchers at Tufts University have created the first web-slinging technology, inspired by Spider-Man. Working in a department they call the Silklab, the scientists used natural materials from moth cocoons â and developed a substance that can shoot from a needle, solidify into a string, and lift objects. Theyâre still working on improving the formula, but can currently catch an object up to 12 inches away and lift an object of around half-an-ounce.
