According to a study published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, friends are pretty spot-on when it comes to knowing if you're ready for a serious relationship. They can pick up on your vibes and relationship habits, and their judgments align with yours about 50% of the time. In fact, your friends can actually shape who you date by encouraging certain relationships and frowning on others – all based on how ready they think you are for commitment.
