High school shop classes are making a comeback. Some educators seem to have recognized that not every student is a perfect fit for college, so they’ve set up classes such as woodworking, welding, and automotive repair – which can lead to good-paying jobs. The future job market is very unpredictable – especially with the artificial intelligence boom. These classes could go a long way toward addressing the growing demand for skilled trade workers, giving young adults practical skills.
